(TheFreedomFlag.com)- Robert Cahaly, the chief pollster at the Trafalgar Group, said this week that President Donald Trump is on track for a victory on November 3 thanks to the “hidden” support from American voters.
The Trafalgar Group was one of the most accurate polling organizations in the 2016 election, successfully predicting a Trump success in the final days of the campaign. Unlike other polling groups, the organization does not oversample Democrats when performing surveys and also uses data from likely voters rather than registered voters.
During a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, Cahaly said that the current polls do not take into account the “hidden” support for President Trump.
“What we’ve noticed is that these polls are predominantly missing the hidden Trump vote, what is referred to as the Shy Trump voter,” he said.
“There is a clear feeling among conservatives and people that are for the president, that they are not interested in sharing their opinions so readily on the telephone – we’ve seen people being beat up, harassed, doxed, have their houses torn up, because they express political opinions that are not in line with the politically correct establishment,” Cahaly continued.
While it sounds like a talking point from Trump supporters rather than somebody unbiased and looking only at the data, Cahaly’s record is good. The Trafalgar Group is a Republican-leaning firm but was one of only two polling groups in 2016 to predict a Trump victory.
The Trafalgar Group was also the only pollster included in the RealClearPolitics polling aggregator to successfully predict that Donald Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton in Michigan, a state that the president won by a narrow margin.
The Georgia-based polling group has been described as “outliers with an uncanny knack for accurately sampling Trump vote,” and several polls recently published by the organization have suggested the president is on track to win important swing states.
Speaking to Hannity, Cahaly explained how Trump voters are less likely to provide honest answers if they feel like polls are not entirely anonymous. He also said that the president should win at least 270 Electoral College votes based on his organization’s polling, but he could win “significantly” more than that depending on how high the “undercurrent” is this time around.
Cahaly also referenced the increasing support for the president among Black and Hispanic voters. The pollster said that Joe Biden is “not getting anywhere near the 80% black voter support that his party routinely draws.”
If the Trafalgar Group is right again, President Trump could be on track for a crushing defeat of the Democrats despite what could be the biggest voter mobilization plan of any Democratic presidential campaign ever.
