Republicans Begin IMMEDIATE Hunter Biden Investigation After Trump’s Acquittal

( – President Trump’s acquittal following the impeachment trials has given Republican senators the freedom they need to move forward with a new investigation into the behavior of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden has been at the center of a controversy since his father entered the race to become president after it was revealed he was hired on a lucrative contract to be an official advisor to Ukrainian energy company, Burisma.

Following the president’s acquittal, the chairman of two Senate committees immediately began opening a new inquiry relating to Hunter Biden’s foreign business activity.

Just minutes after the Senate voted to acquit Trump, Wisconsin’s Ron Johnson (Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee) was joined by Iowa’s Chuck Grassley (Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee) in publicly releasing a letter they had sent to the Secret Service. In the letter, the two senators requested information relating to Hunter Biden’s travel while his father was the vice president.

It reads:

“We write to request information about whether Hunter Biden used government-sponsored travel to help conduct private business, to include his work for Rosemont Seneca and related entities in China and Ukraine. In December of 2013, one month after Rosemont Seneca’s joint venture with Bohai Capital to form BHR, Hunter Biden reportedly flew aboard Air Force Two with then-Vice President Biden to China. While in China, he helped arrange for Jonathan Li, CEO of Bohai Capital, to “shake hands” with Vice President Biden.”

The letter went on to detail other meetings that Hunter Biden had during the trip and references his time as a board member for Burisma Holdings.

The two Republican senators are requesting information relating to security measures taken during the trip. Specifically, the letter wishes to discover whether Hunter Biden was given access to Secret Service protective detail while his father was in office. It also requests records of Biden’s travel when he was provided Secret Service protection.

Much of the Trump impeachment trial focused on the president’s conversation with Ukrainian officials, and now Republicans are fighting back by uncovering potential wrongdoing from Joe Biden and his son. Should the request uncover new information, it could reveal the entire impeachment trial as a misdirection to protect a Democratic presidential candidate.
