REPORT: Bernie Sanders KNOWS Russia Is Trying To Get Him Elected

( – According to the Washington Post, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is completely aware of efforts by Russian actors to get him elected. As per the report, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been briefed on efforts made by foreign actors to ensure he wins the Democratic primaries.

The Robert Mueller investigation into alleged Russian interference focused largely on claims that the Republican Party, or the Trump campaign, had conspired with Russia to win the election. It found the allegations were completely without merit, but that doesn’t mean Russian actors still don’t try.

The Washington Post report explains that Bernie Sanders and his campaign team were briefed by U.S. officials that online Russian interference is real, and steps have been taken to try and ensure Sanders wins the nomination. The specific methods being used by these agents have not been revealed to the public, but Sanders has been briefed in full.

President Donald Trump, as well as U.S. congressmen and senators, have also been briefed on the findings.

So, Bernie knows exactly what’s happening…and maybe he doesn’t care so much. He does, after all, want to win the Democratic primary race. Not only that, but Sanders has been a long-time supporter of Russia, particularly during the days of the USSR.

But this doesn’t seem to have stopped the candidate from claiming the Russians are working against him. During a televised debate, the veteran socialist senator suggested that the online activists who support him (known as “Bernie Bros”) might actually be Russian bots.

“All of us remember 2016. And what we meant, what we remember is efforts by Russians and others to try to interference in our election and divide us up. I’m nt saying that’s happening. But it would not shock me,” he said.

So what is it, Bernie? Are the Russians for or against you? Because the United States authorities believe the Russians support you!

He’s not pretending he didn’t receive the briefing, though. Sanders attempted to distance himself from the president and suggest that the Russians only want to help the president.

In an official statement, Sanders explained, “Unlike Donald Trump, I do not consider Vladimir Putin a good friend. He is an autocratic thug who is attempting to destroy democracy and crush dissent in Russia…I don’t care, frankly, who Putin wants to be president. My message to Putin is clear: stay out of American elections, and as president I will make sure that you do.”

Boy, does Bernie miss the Soviet days!
