PETA Uses “Animal Crossing” Video Game to Push VEGAN Agenda

(TheFreedomFlag.Com)- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) will not stop until animals are given the same rights as humans. Even after years of public anger from their increasingly radical and irresponsible stunts, the campaign group is still attempting to turn the whole world vegan.

Their latest strategy? Video games!

The new “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” game was released by Nintendo last week, and while millions of people are locked up at home playing video games, PETA decided to get in on the action and use the game to convince people to stop eating meat.

PETA this week released a guide to living a vegan lifestyle, not in real life…but on Animal Crossing.

That’s right. PETA believes people should not only refrain from killing real animals to feed their families but should avoid killing pretend animals in video games too. The guide, incredibly, recommends users not to go fishing in the game because “fishing is harmful to animals and the planet.”

Does someone want to tell them that video games aren’t real?

Animal Crossing has earned a cult following over the years and even broke the record for the biggest Nintendo Switch game release in Japan, where it sold 1.88 million copies in its first three days. It’s super popular in the United Kingdom and the United States, too, where sales remain high despite people being unable (in many places) to go to the store and buy the game.

Take a look at the guide yourself, and you’ll see just how crazy it is! “It’s disappointing that a game in which villagers from all different species (from elephants and ducks to deer and pigs) coexist harmoniously with humans encourages abusive behavior towards fish and insects,” it reads.

“Instead of being recognized as the living, breathing, feeling individuals they are, they’re presented as forms of entertainment for the other villagers. Your island should be a safe space for all animals, big and small,” it continues.

Once again, we’re talking about fish. Video game fish.

PETA also recommends that users should refrain from digging up clams in the game because they are also living creatures. The guide tells players to avoid picking up hermit crabs on the beach and to only eat fruit throughout the duration of the game.

Interestingly, they don’t point out the horrible murder of the many insects who live in the trees that the game characters chop down!

You can’t even build a dog house for your pet, either, because it’s cruel to leave dogs with only a small shelter. You really couldn’t make this up.
