Matt Gaetz Speaks At Anti-Liz Cheney Rally

( Republican Representative for Florida’s 1st congressional district Matt Gaetz spoke out on Thursday afternoon during a rally in support of President Donald Trump and against the Democrat impeachment hearing and smear campaign.

Gaetz’s speech and comments followed claims by Republican anti-Trump Representative Liz Cheney that President Donald Trump incited violence in Capitol Hill on January 6 and voted to impeach him.

Hundreds of people turned out to listen to Rep. Gaetz speak, and during his speech, he ripped into Liz Cheney for her petty attacks against pro-Trump Republicans.

Speaking on the steps of the Cheyenne, Wyoming Capitol building on Thursday, Gaetz addressed Cheney’s taunts about him wearing make up when on television.

“Now Liz Cheney taunts me for wearing makeup in my television appearances,” he said. “Now make up only hides the slightest imperfections of the skin. It does very little to conceal the soulless corruption of Washington, D.C. You know it’s pretty easy to get a little makeup off my shirt. Far more difficult for Liz Cheney to get the blood off her hands for sending America’s best to foreign lands to die.”

Gaetz has been on something of a tirade against Cheney in recent weeks, condemning her for attacking President Donald Trump and his 75 million voters.

“If @Liz_Cheney no longer speaks for Wyoming, why does she still speak for the House Republican Conference?” he asked over the weekend.

Gaetz cited a poll showing that 62% of voters view Cheney negatively, with only 10% of Republican voters saying they would vote to re-elect her.

During his speech, Gaetz said that Cheney has done two things in the United States Congress – namely, frustrating the agenda of President Trump and selling out to the “forever war machine.”

Donald Trump Jr. also called into the rally to offer an insight into Cheney and urged the people of Wyoming to elect a conservative next time that would fight against special interest groups.

Didn’t Cheney get the message that this is no longer the Republican Party of old?
