Hillary Clinton To Host Expensive Virtual Fundraiser For Joe Biden

(TheFreedomFlag.Com)- Failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is officially hitting the fundraising trail for 2020 candidate Joe Biden.
She’s set to host a virtual fundraiser for Biden later in May. It’ll be her first appearance as an official surrogate for Biden’s campaign.
The virtual conversation will be held on May 19 on Zoom, in conjunction with Tom Perez, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Funds raised from the event will go to the Biden Victory Fund.
The cheapest virtual tickets to the event cost $2,800. Hosts can pay $100,000, and other tickets range from $5,600 to $50,000.
Even as controversy continues to increase in the face of sexual assault allegations against Biden from one of his former staffers, Tara Reade, women in the Democratic Party continue to plow forward in support of their candidate.
While Clinton remained on the sidelines during much of the presidential primaries, she endorsed Biden last month once it was clear he would be the presumptive nominee. In her endorsement of Biden, Clinton said:
“I am thrilled to be part of your campaign — to not only endorse you but to help highlight a lot of the issues that are at stake in this presidential election.
“I’ve been in the lobby of the Senate. I’ve been in the cloakroom and I’ve watched Joe bring people together. We have a lot of the same values in common, the same work ethic, the same believe in America, the same focus on family. We need a leader — a president — like Joe Biden.”
Of course, those values that Clinton said she shares with Biden didn’t resonate enough with voters back in 2016 to get her elected president. It’s unclear at this point whether those will be key talking points in this election, and whether they’d get Biden over the hump.
Clinton is just one of a string of high-profile people in the Democratic Party who have lined up behind Biden in his plight to unseat President Donald Trump from office in November’s general election. He has received endorsements from former challengers Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, former president Barack Obama and former vice president Al Gore.
These people have remained steadfast in their endorsement of Biden, even as the volume of Reade’s accusation against Biden has increased. Reade says that when she was a staffer for Biden in 1993 when he was a senator, he pinned her up against a wall and penetrated her with his fingers. He has denied the claim and has called for the release of certain records that he says would prove his innocence.
While the back-and-forth claims and denials by Reade and Biden go on, the candidate has continued to receive support from prominent women in the Democratic Party. These women — such as Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand — have said Reade deserves to be heard, but they stand by Biden and believe him when he says the incident didn’t happen.
