Former Clinton Campaign Adviser Says Liz Cheney Will Lose in 2022

( Dick Morris, a former Clinton campaign advisor, has come out and said that Republican Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming will lose the Republican primary before her 2022 re-election campaign. Morris’s view is likely shared by many Republicans angry at the GOP establishment figure’s decision to vote to impeach former President Donald Trump.

Morris told Newsmax that she has a “snowball’s chance in hell of getting re-elected.”

“Her favorability is down to 13% and she loses the projected primary by 3-1 or 4-1,” he added. “Wyoming went 70% for Trump. And Liz Cheney is a gone goose.”

Cheney has been engaged in a bitter battle with Republicans in recent weeks after siding with Democrats when they inaccurately claimed that former President Donald Trump incited a violent “insurrection” on January 6 by calling on Americans to peacefully demonstrate against misconduct in the 2020 presidential election.

Morris also described how it is “ridiculous” and shows “how out of touch Kevin McCarthy and the Republican leadership is with the voters of the Republican Party” for rounding up votes to help her.

“The voters of Wyoming, her state, will not be so forgiving,” he said.

His comment referenced how House Republicans voted on Wednesday to allow Rep. Cheney to keep her leadership position in the party, with a secret ballot vote securing her position 145-61.

Morris weighed in on the vote, saying she only won it because it was “basically set up by leadership” and that she is “kind of inherited royalty among Republicans” because her father is former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Cheney was first elected to the House in 2016 and quickly moved up the ranks of the party, becoming the House Republican Conference chair. She is the third-highest-ranking member of the House Republicans, meaning she’ll likely have a busy (and contentious) two years ahead of her.

Sources close to President Donald Trump have also suggested over the last week that the former president is planning a rally tour to prepare voters to choose new candidates who will support the Make America Great Again Agenda in 2022 and beyond.

Liz Cheney is likely to be the on the very top of his list.

Despite being a former advisor to President Bill Clinton, Morris also spoke to “The Cats Roundtable” radio show recently and said that election reform is important. He said that when voters “believe that the vote is not accurate, that’s a tremendous danger to our democracy.”

“There are a lot of Democrats who say they want to get everyone to vote and expand the franchise,” he said. “But in fact, they want to commit fraud…”

While Morris thinks that Cheney is on the way out, he urged Republicans to rethink their election strategy if they want to elect more MAGA conservatives, telling the party that it’s time to embrace vote-by-mail.
