(TheFreedomFlag.com)- Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned this week that Americans should not ignore the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the wearing of masks inside their homes. As a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, Fauci has flip-flopped on the issue of masks and only in the middle of the year began advocating for people to war them.
On Monday, Fauci said that people who travel to another household for Thanksgiving were spreading the virus.
“If they are in your home, you should wear a mask indoors as much as you possibly can,” he said. “I know that it’s a precious period of time, the holiday season when we get together, but please don’t o something that in fact would put you and your family in danger such as getting a crowded group of people coming from different places and airports or what have you.”
Fauci made the comments to the Washington Post during an interview about the holiday season.
His comments come at a time when Democratic politicians refuse to abide by their own rules. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, after spending weeks telling people to stay at home and avoid traveling for Thanksgiving, was on Monday reported to be planning on traveling and spending Thanksgiving with his 89-year-old mother and other members of his family.
Cuomo says his mother and two of his daughters will come up (presumably to Albany) for Thanksgiving.

California Governor Gavin Newsom was also recently caught attending a large public gathering. TV chef Andrew Gruel of California slammed the governor on Twitter for breaking the rules of the day by not wearing a mask, not socially distancing, and dining indoors in a large group.
No, incorrect. He broke all the rules of the day – no masks, no distancing, party size, indoor dining with a group that size, eating unpasteurized cheese. https://t.co/D3WF7V1EYn

In the interview with the Post, Fauci said that people shouldn’t have to wear a mask at the dinner table because it was “common sense” but then said that in other areas across the home, they should wear the mask indoors.
He also advised against having gatherings of more than five family members.
“Although those are wonderful parts of our traditional, I just would like to have each family to kind of make that risk assessment, and know and understand that we’re in a difficult situation,” he said.
Perhaps Dr. Fauci might at least have the courage of his own convictions and not break the rules he advocates like Cuomo and Newsom do.
