Extremist DC Mayor Bowser KICKS OUT National Guard from City Hotels

(TheFreedomFlag.com)- Mayor Muriel Bowser is still angry that President Trump relieved her of her duties and brought in the National Guard after her efforts to quell violence on the streets of the nation’s capital failed. Bowser took the radical step on Friday to order that all members of the National Guard, who have spent days protecting the city’s businesses and keeping violence under control, leave the hotel they were staying at.

Previously, the Marriott Marquis hotel in downtown D.C. was being used as part of the city’s efforts to combat the coronavirus. The National Guard coronavirus response mission was using much of the hotel but the empty rooms were deployed to house the members of the Guard protecting the city. Angry that Guardsmen who came from outside of the city were staying at the hotel, and presumably looking for any way to oppose something ordered by President Trump, she told over 1,000 Guardsmen to leave the hotel and look for somewhere else to stay.

That meant that members of the National Guard who had just worked a long night shift were left searching for a new place to stay. The time spent searching for new places to stay meant they couldn’t have a full night’s rest before starting work the next day, once again protecting the city from far-left extremists committing violent acts of destruction.

“Some National Guard responders were quartering in hotel accommodations which had preexisting contractual agreements with the District,” the National Guard explained in a statement. “Out of respect for existing agreements, those facilities have with the city government, those service members have relocated. For further information, please contact city government.”

Senator Mike Lee of Utah, who represents the 200 guardsmen from Utah who were deployed to D.C., slammed the decision.

“Just heard that Mayor Bowser is kicking the Utah National Guard out of all DC hotels tomorrow,” he said on Twitter. “More than 1200 troops from 10 states are being evicted. This is unacceptable.”

In a statement, Senator Lee said that members of the Utah National Guard completed a night shift on Thursday at 3 a.m. and were kicked out of the hotel at 11 a.m. on Friday. He said that those same guardsmen had another night shift that started at 6 p.m. that same day.

Bowser made her intentions clear on Twitter, in a post where she explained that President Trump should “withdraw all extraordinary federal law enforcement and military presence from our city.”

This isn’t about contracts. This is about removing the National Guard because Bowser doesn’t like Trump.
