Criminal Complaint Filed Against Governor Cuomo

( Republican Rep. Tom Reed of New York told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network on Friday that he intends to file a criminal complaint against Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Secretary Melissa DeRosa following a report that she admitted to concealing data on COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.

It follows months of controversy around the issue centering on a directive issued by Governor Cuomo to send COVID-19 patients into nursing homes during the early days of the pandemic.”

The New York Post revealed on February 11 how Cuomo’s top aide privately apologized to Democrat lawmakers after withholding the official nursing home COVID-19 death toll, saying that her office “froze” out of fear that the real numbers would be “used against us” by federal prosecutors.

Remember when Democrats and the left-wing press said Republicans were wrong to blame Cuomo for the nursing home deaths in New York?

The Post described it as a “stunning admission of a coverup,” explaining how DeRosa made the admission during a video conference call with New York Democratic legislators. She even admitted that Cuomo’s office “rebuffed a legislative request for the tally in August” claiming that President Donald Trump would have turned it into a “giant political football.”

“He starts tweeting that we killed everyone in nursing homes,” DeRosa can be heard saying in a recording of the meeting. “He starts going after [Governor of New Jersey, Phil] Murphy, starts going after [Governor of California, Gavin] Newsom, starts going after [Governor of Michigan] Gretchen Whitmer.”

Speaking to Fox News, Rep. Reed discussed the confession and described how we “learned what happened with the COVID-19-positive order that sent 15,000 to their death that Cuomo issued back in March.”

“This, obviously, cannot go unaccounted for. And that’s why we were arguing this in the committee yesterday, when we demanded that transparency and accountability be part of this COVID-19 package,” he added. “But, most importantly, the days of Cuomo are going to be numbered in Albany here. But, most important, we need to start with his second in command. I’m demanding, I’m going to be looking at filing a personal criminal complaint against this individual, today, in local law enforcement offices, as well as federal offices. Because she needs to be arrested today.”

Could this be the long-awaited comeuppance for Governor Andrew Cuomo and his efforts to distract the media from his disastrous COVID policy?
