(TheFreedomFlag.com)- Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden faces increasing pressure from the media and supporters of his own party to address more substantively the accusations of sexual assault made against him. Locked up at home, the former vice president is stuck trying to appear presidential while facing a deluge of attacks that now include the fair criticism of his involvement with the set up of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
That’s probably why in an interview on Thursday with The Last Word on MSNBC, Biden told Lawrence O’Donnell that if he wins the election in November he wouldn’t pardon President Trump.
But…pardon him for what exactly? You can see the interview below.
In a video aired in the segment, a potential voter asks Biden, “Would you be willing to commit to not pulling a President Ford and giving Donald Trump a pardon under the pretense of healing the nation? In other words, are you willing to commit to the American ideal that no one is above the law?”
To which Biden responded, “Absolutely, yes. I commit.”
But what law has President Trump broken? So far, all he’s done is try to enact the policies he promised the public he would enact, and the Democrats have consistently tried to stop him from achieving it.
Lawrence O’Donnell then repeated Biden’s response, stating, “So, that’s a commitment.”
“Mr. Vice President, you’re saying that where ever the investigative trail might lead, whether that be an investigative trail pursued by the Justice Department against Trump officials, Trump associated, administration officials – whether those are congressional investigations – that’s hand-off for you, you’re not going to say, ‘Let’s just let bygones be bygones’”?
Biden then went on to talk about the Attorney General, saying he’s not the president’s lawyer, but the people’s lawyer.
“And you remember when you were there with Pat Moynihan. We never saw anything like the prostitution of that office, like we see it today,” he added.
Is anyone following Biden here? I’m not.
It looks like he’ll cling to anything to try and distract away from his personal failings as a candidate. What law has the president broken, and why are they even talking about pardoning him?
